• Senior Procurement

    We are currently looking for a Senior Procurement for our design Hub in Cairo.

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist with 5-7 years of procurement experience in Egypt. As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing procurement activities, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods, services and materials required for construction projects. Your expertise in procurement strategies, supplier management and knowledge of local markets will be crucial in optimizing costs, maintaining quality standards and contributing to the success of our projects.

    You can expect the following:

    • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods, services and materials.
    • Identify, evaluate and select reliable suppliers, subcontractors and vendors, maintaining strong relationships and negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
    • Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
    • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, conducting regular performance reviews and implementing improvement measures as necessary.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective sourcing, negotiation and strategic procurement decisions while maintaining quality standards.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, pricing and availability of goods and services, ensuring competitive procurement practices.
    • Assess and prequalify suppliers, subcontractors and vendors based on their capabilities, financial stability and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
    • Collaborate with project teams to forecast material requirements, maintain adequate inventory levels and optimize storage and distribution.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
    • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, supplier information and financial data. Generate reports and provide regular updates to management.

    You bring along:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry in Egypt.
    • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices and techniques.
    • Experience in sourcing and procurement of construction materials, equipment and services.
    • Proven track record in supplier management, negotiation and contract management.
    • Familiarity with local suppliers, markets and regulations in Egypt.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
    • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPIM) are desirable.
    • Good command of Arabic and English. Knowledge of German or Spanish is a plus.
